Rabbi Dr. Jules King is a wedding officiant and celebrant who conducts weddings and other life cycle events across the U.S. and Canada. He is the Founder and Senior Rabbi of Desert Outreach Synagogue, serving the greater Palm Springs area.

I am the Founder and Senior Rabbi of Desert Outreach Synagogue, serving the Coachella Valley, including Palm Springs, Indio, Indian Wells, Palm Desert, and other local communities. We are a distinctive, inclusive congregation with services centered around music and a blend of tradition and modernity. Our motto exemplifies our values — “Come join us! You already belong!”​​

I received my סמיכה S’micha/ordination from the Academy for Jewish Religion California in Los Angeles, CA., my master’s degree in Rabbinical Studies from AJRCA, and my doctorate at the Claremont School of Theology.
I’ll share a little secret about myself. My passion as a Rabbi lets me dedicate myself to people and their needs. But beyond that, I love music and am a musician, pianist, organist, and vocalist.

I love working with couples. I enjoy the personal interactions, getting to know you as individuals, and guiding you through the wedding process. I am a social person, having served congregations across the country and interacting with people from different backgrounds and lifestyles. I am always eager to make your wedding one you and your guests will never forget.
